Edwin Lugo brings over 30 years' experience in the financial services industry managing mostly international and global equity portfolios.  More recently in 2021, Edwin founded EL2 Capital, LLC to manage hedge funds focused on public equities for the international small companies and a global equity portfolios.  Prior, Edwin was Senior Vice President and portfolio manager at Franklin Templeton, leading the global small cap team in New York for 15 years from 2006 to 2021, managing both mutual funds and institutional separate accounts, peaking at $6bln in assets in 2014. Between 2002 and 2006, Edwin led the international team at Brown Capital in Baltimore, and he began his career at Templeton in Ft. Lauderdale in 1996 becoming a global equities analyst and portfolio manager. 
 
Edwin graduated Columbia Business School in 1996 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in finance in 1990. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2001. He has one child.
 
In his free time Ed likes to exercise, read, and travel.  He also dedicates his time to the CollegeBound Foundation and is chair of the finance committee.  The Baltimore-based organization helps underprivileged high school students get into college. Ed has been involved on the board since 2004.
